Group DF completed the formal registration of brands (marks for goods and services) "UKRAINE TOMORROW", "UKRAINE MORGEN" and» УКРАЇНА ЗАВТРА» in the International Office for Harmonization in the internal market (OHIM). OHIM is the European Union agency providing registration and legal protection of trademarks and industrial designs in the territory of the EU Member States.
In January-November 2015 the Nika-Tera sea terminal (LLC "SME Nika-Tera" is a part of the Group DF) handled 3 665.6 thousand tons of cargo. Total turnover of cereal crops amounted to 52.4% (1920.3K tons), mineral fertilizers -17.7% (648.2K tons), bulk cargo - 29.5% (1082.4K tons), general cargo - 0.4% (14.7K tons). Transshipment of transit cargo over the specified period increased by 32% (up to 761K tons) compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the turnover of export cargo decreased by 14% up to 2727.7 thousand tons and transshipment of import cargo - by 28.5% up to 163K tons.
The legal department of the Group DF became the winner of the international competition EuroLawyer Awards 2015 in the category "The best legal department to support antitrust investigations." Solemn awarding ceremony took place on 25 November 2015 in London, in the building of the Law Society of England and Wales. Awarding of the best legal departments of Europe took place in the framework of the V International Legal Forum EuroLawyer 2015. A special independent jury - more than 30 legal practitioners from Eastern Europe - selected leading legal departments of Eastern European countries in 10 categories. The best legal departments were selected in various areas of legal practice conducted in 2014-2015.
Zaporizhzhya Titanium and Magnesium Combine LLC (part of Group DF titanium business), increased production of titanium sponge by 25.9% for 9 months of 2015 compared to the same period in 2014 (from 4 752,4 to 5 984,6 tons).
The official unveiling of the Memorial to the victims of Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933, took place in Washington and was financed by Ukrainian businessman Dmitry Firtash. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the local Ukrainian community, the US Congress, members of diplomatic missions and clergy. The first lady of Ukraine Maryna Poroshenko also participated in the ceremony.
Zaporizhzhya Titanium and Magnesium Combine LLC (part of Group DF titanium business), increased the production of titanium sponge by 32,6% (from 4 125.4 to 5 471.4 tons) for 8 months of 2015 compared to the corresponding period in 2014.
Zaporizhzhya Titanium and Magnesium Combine LLC (part of Group DF titanium business), has launched a large-scale investment program aimed to bring the titanium products to the market of space products. The company has invested UAH 19.5 million into the construction project of a special sponge titanium mixer. The mixer makes the process of mixing different fractions of titanium sponge fully automated and improves the uniformity of the chemical composition of finished products.
For 8 months of 2015, two Mining and Construction Complexes (part of Group DF titanium business) – Mezhdurechensk Mining and Construction Complex and Valki-Ilmenite increased the output of finished products substantially. Comparing to the same period last year, Mezhdurechensk MCC has increased the output by 12.5% to 106.7 thousand tons, and Valki-Ilmenite – by 48.5% (to 35.5 thousand tons).
Nika-Tera sea terminal (SSP Nika-Tera LLC is a part of Group DF nitrogen business) has carried out the transshipment of 2 million 619.3 thousand tons of cargo in January-August 2015. The total turnover of crops amounted 48% (1 million 264.4 thousand tons), mineral fertilizers – 23% (596K tons), bulk cargoes – 28% (745.2K tons), general cargo – 1% (13.6K tons). Transshipment of transit cargo for the period comparing to the same period last year, increased by 49.3% to 670K tons. At the same time, the turnover of export goods decreased by 21% to 1 million 818K tons, and the transshipment of imports – by 21% to 117.1K tons.
Two Ostchem plants – Rivneazot PJSC and Azot PJSC (Cherkassy) – began the process of production startup.
