OSTCHEM supplied 489 thousand cubometers of medical oxygen to medicine in 2022


During 2022 the enterprises of OSTCHEM Nitrogen Holding “Rivneazot” and “Cherkasy Azot” produced and provided 489,000 cubic meters of medical oxygen to hospitals for free. In particular, “Rivneazot” provided medics with 2,664 oxygen cylinders which is equal to about 16,000 cubic meters  and “Cherkasy “Azot” shipped 675.4 tons of medical oxygen (473 thousand m3).

Medical oxygen is shipped to 17 hospitals and medical facilities. During the year medical facilities in Cherkasy, Rivne, Volyn, Donetsk and Luhansk regions were supplied with oxygen.

Medical oxygen is necessary for seriously ill patients with complex diseases of the respiratory organs and for surgical anesthesia. The decision to supply medical oxygen free of charge was made by  OSTCHEM shareholder at the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic.

OSTCHEM unites nitrogen chemistry plants of Group DF of entrepreneur Dmytro Firtash.

s of Ukrainian medicine in medical oxygen in Ukraine. Helping doctors remains one of OSTCHEM social priorities, thus we help save the lives of Ukrainians. During the war aid to doctors increased significantly – through a number of funds we supply medicines to hospitals located in the front-line zone. We are talking about hospitals in Luhansk, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. Our businesses support projects that deal with  rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian soldiers .”

Cherkasy Azot remains the largest producer of medical oxygen in  OSTCHEM holding. The enterprise received a certificate of compliance of oxygen production with the international GMP standard ( quality of oxygen and constant verification of compliance with production standards are ensured).

“The demand for medical oxygen from the doctors of Cherkasy region has fallen compared to 2021. But we continue to cooperate closely and effectively with local authorities and doctors. Our production system is certified and ensures  supply of medical oxygen of the highest quality .

In 2021 OSTCHEM plants produced 1.1 million m3 of medical oxygen and delivered it to hospitals in 12 regions of the country for free.
