Group DF has sent UAH 1.219 billion to help Ukraine


Group DF has sent UAH 1.219 billion for needs of Ukrainians and the army during two years of full-scale war.

Group DF businesses together with volunteer groups of employees and top managers continue to implement projects for humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians affected by the war, support for the army and assistance to medicine.

“Now we are implementing an urgent request from the Armed Forces of Ukraine – purchase and supply of special equipment to protect the Ukrainian sky. During this quarter we have handed over a new assistance package to the military which includes thermal imaging sights, Bandera searchlights Flashlight, laser systems, air defense vehicles. We believe that the equipment purchased by us will contribute to the protection of Ukrainian airspace,” commented Oleg Arestarkhov, Head of corporate communications department at Group DF.

Employees support

The Group provided assistance to a team of chemists from “Severodonetsk Azot” who not only lost work but were forced to leave their homes due to occupation. Cherkassy “Azot” allocated UAH 40.3 million. to support migrants from Luhansk and Donetsk regions, including accommodation, food and other expenses associated with their adaptation. Since Cherkassy “Azot” significantly increased production volumes of mineral fertilizers in 2023 this made it possible to expand its staff and hire  87 specialists from Severodonetsk “Azot”, having created necessary conditions for their professional growth.

Defenders Support

To provide energy to soldiers Group DF volunteers purchased and delivered to the front line 28 solar panels Solar Portable Power Station with a power of 21W for power supply in hard-to-reach areas which work even in a cloudy weather. Each of these solar panels is the opportunity to recharge electronic devices and stay in touch with team and family.

To protect the airspace of Ukraine 5 anti-drone systems, 8 special radio-electronic detection and jamming systems, 16 air defense vehicles, 20 batteries for radio stations, drone frequency spectrum analyzers , routers for stable and secure Internet access, powerful Bandera Flashlight spotlights were transferred  for illuminating targets in the air, thermal imaging sights, special laser systems that help air defense determine their location.

Additionally, for the defenders of Ukraine Group DF businesses purchased and supplied: 963 vehicles and 98.7 thousand liters of fuel, 162 modern drones, 13 mobile headquarters, 224 units of communication equipment, 216 thermal imagers, 2200 stoves, 260 generators.

Medical support

To ensure treatment of  wounded and rehabilitation of injured people Group DF businesses donated 1,760 tons of medicines for the needs of hospitals, as well as medical equipment: monitors, ophthalmoscopes, laryngoscopes, portable breathing apparatus for adults and children. Also  489 thousand cubic meters of medical oxygen from OSTCHEM nitrogen enterprises were sent to hospitals. Assistance is provided to medical institutions in 12 regions.

REFERENCE. Since the beginning of  full-scale war in Ukraine Group DF businesses have provided assistance to military and civilian population for a total amount of UAH 1.219 billion. Additionally, the Group transferred UAH 100 million to special accounts of the NBU to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. A project to evacuate more than 300 thousand people to safer territories was implemented. In addition, a special operation to evacuate foreign citizens from ships blocked in the Black Sea was carried out.  As of March 2024, assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine covers:  purchase of thermal imagers (216), body armors (670), tactical clothing (6118), fuel (98700 l), drones (162), power banks , as well as night vision devices, plates, helmets, ammunition, performing a number of technical works. In the humanitarian direction the following work was carried out: organization of temporary overnight accommodation, equipment of premises, supply of water (35000 liters), food (55000 kg), medicines (1760 tons), as well as the creation of Social Services to assist displaced persons and “non-breaking ” points (25).

About a quarter of all assistance is provided through charitable foundations: YRZ Non-Profit gemeinnurtzige UG, Charitable Foundation “Free Air”, “All-Ukrainian Fund for Assistance to the Families of Ukrainian Heroes “FRIEND”, NGO “Help the Front”, Volunteer Formation No. 8 “Leshyi”, Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Social Protection”, Charitable Foundation “Volunteers of Podolia”, Charitable Foundation “Lazar” , Charitable Foundation “Society of Zhytomyr”, Charitable Foundation “Warm City”. The Group’s enterprises support the Children’s Heart Charitable Foundation by providing assistance to the Okhmatdyt Centre for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery for children affected by explosions.
