In Q1 2020, PrJSC “Rivneazot”, a member of Group DF nitrogen line of business, produced 202 100 t of mineral fertilizers, including 149 500 t of ammonia nitrate, 42 800 t of calcium-ammonia nitrate, 9 800 t of aqueous ammonia technical. The company also produced 91 800 t of liquid ammonia technical and 144 400 t of non-concentrated nitric acid.
“We continue to grow. The company provided the farmers with the most in-demand types of mineral fertilizers during the spring time and deliver on its commitments to the agricultural producers in full. In Q1, the output increased almost by a third compared year-on-year. Ammonia production increased the most (+350%). Output of the products of ammonia processing also went up – ammonia nitrate (+2%) and aqueous ammonia (+166%). There are several major factors to that. The first one is the effective embargo on the import of Russian fertilizers to Ukraine. Protective measures worked in part. The second and the most important factor is that the company was fully supplied with gas at reasonable prices during the winter. The third factor is that the demand for fertilizers is gradually growing. Many of our customers are really increasing the amount of fertilizers used per hectar”, commented Mr. Mykhaylo Zabluda, Chairman of the Board, PrJSC “RIVNEAZOT”.
