In Q 1 2021, PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association”, a member of Group DF nitrogen line of business, produced 265,620 t of mineral fertilizers. In particular, the company produced 128,470 t of ammonium nitrate, 119,600 t of urea, 150 t of aqueous ammonia technical and 17,400 t of UAN (urea ammonium nitrate).
Aside from that, the company produced 147, 810 t of ammonia, 1,590 t of liquid carbon dioxide, 20,170 cubic meters of medical oxygen gas in cylinders.
«In Q1, production grew by 47.4%, compared to 2020 yoy. We managed to increase the utilization of production facilities from 30% to 50%. Further growth of production will depend on the level of demand for mineral fertilizers and on how the ICIT will address the issue of limiting the import of nitrogen fertilizers to Ukraine. If they introduce import quotas, we will be able to load the workshops and ramp-up the output,” emphasized Leonid Bugaev, Chairman of the Board, PrJSC“ Severodonetsk Azot Association».
In 2020, the company completely restored the full production cycle and, subsequently, resumed the production of its own ammonia used to launch the production of ammonium nitrate, urea and UAN. It allowed to load production capacities by about a third. At present, the company is running two ammonia workshops (1-A and 1-B), an urea production workshop, one department at urea production workshop No. 2, an ammonium nitrate production workshop and nitric acid production workshop. Until the full production cycle was restored, separate divisions came online using imported ammonia. Some workshops at the company were idle for more than 7 years due to combat operations in the region, lack of reliable power supply from two sources and damaged infrastructure.
In Q1 2020, the company produced 180,210 t of fertilizers including 141,610 t of ammonium nitrate, 32,030 t of urea, 2,810 t of aqueous ammonia technical and 3,760 t of UAN (urea-ammonia nitrate).
As a reminder, in 2020, PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association” produced 843,160 t of mineral fertilizers, including 444,380 t of ammonium nitrate, 352,040 t of urea, 4,420 t of aqueous ammonia technical and 42,320 t of UAN (urea-ammonia nitrate).
Аs previously reported, capital investments in PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association” in 2020 reached UAH101,040,000. Most of this amount was spent to restore the operations of the ammonia (1-A) and urea production facilities.
