PRJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association” increased output of the medical oxygen

In two weeks of November 2021, PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association”, a member of Group DF nitrogen line of business, produced and supplied to health care institutions 38,772 cubic meters of medical oxygen (6,462 cylinders).

“Since the beginning of the year, the enterprise increased the output of medical oxygen by several times. I reckon we will produce a record-breaking amount of oxygen in November. Our company has significantly increased the production of medical oxygen, because of the new wave of the pandemic. We understand that the consumption of medical oxygen per patient is growing, that every new cylinder, every ton of oxygen is a chance for COVID19 patients to stay alive. Thanks to structured and meaningful collaboration with the authorities, both Severodonetsk and Luhansk region are likely to pass the peak of the pandemic with 100% oxygen supply,” says Leonid Bugaev, Chairman of the Board, PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association”.

According to the top manager, the company works closely with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the local authorities planning the supplies of medical oxygen to the hospitals for the upcoming months. These days, medical oxygen is suplied to the hospitals in Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Rubizhne, Svatovo, Stanitsa Luganska, Starobelsk, Troitsk, Belovodsk, Novoaydar in Lugansk region. In recent weeks, medical oxygen has been also supplied to health care institutions in Kramatorsk, Lyman and Bakhmut (Donetsk region).

“We are in constant and close contact with the regional state administrations and the mayors of the cities. At present, Ukraine’s health care system is under tremendous pressure, and we, for our part, are doing everything we can to support it. We intend to maintain production growth rates as long as necessary. Employees of our chemical enterprises and medical professionals will continue to work 24/7 to save Ukrainians. We will not fail them,” said Leonid Bugaev.

Along with PJSC “Rivneazot” and PJSC “Azot” (Cherkasy), PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association” is a member of Ostchem holding company that consolidates Dmytro Firtash’s chemical enterprises. During the first two weeks of November, Ostchem enterprises supplied 350 t of medical oxygen to 7 regions of Ukraine free of charge. Since the beginning of the year, the Group’s enterprises supplied a total of 1,500 t of medical oxygen.  Medical grade oxygen is supplied in tanks or cylinders.

 

Medical oxygen produced by PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association” is registered and entered into the State register of medical products as a drug that can be used to prevent the emergence and spread, to localize and eradicate coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
