No chemicals at PrJSC “Azot” (Severodonetsk)

Following the media reports about the alleged mine-laying at ammonia warehouses of PrJSC “Azot” (Severodonetsk), Group DF press service would like to make the following official statement:

At the moment, PrJSC “Azot” (Severodonetsk), as a chemical enterprise, poses no danger to the residents of the city and the region.

The company fully processed all available ammonia and vacated the ammonia storage facilities.

Following the outbreak of the war, the production was completely suspended: all key workshops were closed down, and the plant ceased the production of fertilizers.

The remainders of the finished products (fertilizers) and chemicals were completely removed from the territory of the enterprise beyond the Luhansk region.

The security and the technical service of the plant have additionally examined all production workshops and warehouses of the enterprise for the presence of hazardous chemicals. No such substances are present on the territory of the enterprise.

This is not the first time that we have encountered a situation where false information about the Group’s chemical enterprises is used as a part of hybrid information warfare. Similar smear informational campaigns targeted PJSC “Concern Stirol”, an enterprise that Group DF controlled before 2014.

We call on the media not to replicate unverified information and contact the Group DF press service for comments.
