NIKA-TERA port won two National Maritime Rating of Ukraine nominations

Specialized Sea Port NIKA-TERA LLC that ia a member of Group DF topped the National Maritime Rating of Ukraine. The sea port won the nominations: Golden Ton and Absolute Growth and was awarded 2 “Sea Oscars”.

The sea port has won the major award of the contest (“Sea Oscar” in the “Golden Ton” nomination for achieving a significant increase (in percentages) of cargo turnover in 2019. Last year, the cargo turnover of the sea port increased by 147.9% to rich 8,600,000 tons. NIKA-TERA sea port was also ranked among Top-3 in the Absolute Growth nomination. The company managed to achieve the largest increase in cargo turnover (in tonnes) compared to the previous year. In 2019, the sea port handled by 2,800,000 t more compared to 2018.

The rapid growth of transshipment for the last two years has been the result of a proper enterprise development strategy chosen by the new team and the shareholder under new conditions. I am convinced that the increase in cargo turnover is a demonstration of the new level of services provided by the port, it is an indicator of customers’ trust and dedication of our entire team, – commented Alim Agakishiev, Harbor master, Specialized sea port NIKA-TERA.Thanks to the fulfilled model of interaction within the enterprise, we were able to effectively set up the operations of all structural units in order to rapidly respond and adapt to the new market challenges. I am sure there are many more projects ahead that will allow us to develop the port and set new records.

In the overall 2019 Ukrainian Port Terminal Operators rating, SSP NIKA-TERA took the third position in terms of cargo turnover with the result of 8,600,000 t taking over the Chernomorsk commercial seaport.
