Nadra Bank donated medical equipment to the Centre for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiosurgery

As part of the ‘Healthy Children in a Happy Land’ programme initiated by the ‘Children’s world’ Charity Fund founded by Nadra Bank, the Bank delivered modern surgical facilities to the Centre for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiosurgery. It is the only medical institution in Ukraine operating on cardiac malformation of children from the first days of life.

 

The funds for the purchase of the medical equipment have been raised by Nadra Bank’s employees during its recent ‘Heartful gift’ auction and in the course of a number of other charitable events.

 

“Our bank’s employees take an active part in various fund raising events to help children”, stressed Dmitry Zinkov, Nadra Bank’s Chairman of the Board. “We spend the raised funds where our help is most needed and wanted today”.

 

Dmitry Zinkov also noted that in the course of subsequent charitable events the bank plans to support children’s hospitals in all regions of Ukraine.

 

The ‘Healthy Children in a Happy Land’ charitably programme was launched 6 years ago by the ‘Children’s world’ All-Ukrainian Charity Fund to decrease infant mortality rate.

 

The programme included hundreds of charitable and social responsibility events with millions of hryvna raised to purchase new medical equipment for regional hospitals. As a result, the required equipment was provided to hospitals in 14 regions of Ukraine including Dnepropetrovsk, Lviv, Poltava, Kherson, Chernigiv, Chernivtsi, and others. Earlier, the Centre for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiosurgery received a modern cardio reanimobile.

Modernization of the health care system is one of the major challenges of the present day. Due to continuous assistance of our partners and high professionalism of cardiocenter’s employees we have saved many children’s lives”.

 

Over ten years of its existence, children’s cardiocenter has become one of the largest in Europe. More than 2000 surgeries are conducted here annually. The center provides medical assistance to patients from around the world.
