Alexey Yankovski takes charge of IT-function at Group DF


YankovskyAlexey Yankovski, an information technology expert and a top-manager with 17 years of experience, has taken charge of IT-function at Group DF as its Chief Information Officer (CIO).

 

“Development and implementation of IT-strategy of Group DF is another step along the way of refinement of corporate governance of the Group and its businesses”, commented Group DF CEO Boris Krasnyansky. “We have entrusted this serious task to one of the best IT specialists who has an extensive working experience, including with large financial and industrial groups”, added Mr Krasnyansky.

 

Before joining Group DF, Alexey Yankovski was Director of the Technology Consulting practice at PwC Ukraine and managed IT FS practice for the CEE region. Earlier, he was Head of the Technology & Security Risk Services Department at Ernst & Young. Before joining the ‘big-four’ companies, Mr Yankovski worked for such international financial groups as Barclays and ING.

 

Mr. Yankovski has experience of working for SAIC and Network Solutions consulting companies in USA. He is also President of the Kyiv branch of ISACA international professional association, an organization specialized in elaboration and propagation of methodologies and standards in the sphere of efficient IT management, IT risks, information security and IT audit.

 

Alexey Yankovski graduated with the highest distinction from George Mason University in USA.

 

“I have a number of important tasks, the biggest of which is development and implementation of Group DF’s IT strategy aimed at providing IT support to the Group’s businesses, as well as developing a centralized model and Group DF’s IT-architecture and its administration”, explained Mr Yankovski.

 

Earlier, on 1 September 2012, Boris Krasnyansky was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Group DF, and has been forming a new management team since then. The primary tasks of Group DF’s top management include consolidation and structuring of its business, determining strategy for development of the Group’s businesses, as well as operational management of Group DF in line with the best international practices.
